New Picture Framing Saw
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011Due to recent expansion and our ongoing commitment to quality, we’ve recently invested in the latest top of the range saw from Cassese. We’ve had the saw installed and working for 4 days now and we’re very pleased with the results, capable of 800 cuts per hour (equates to 200 frames per hour) we can easily cope with the spikes in demand we saw last Christmas.
We already have one saw and this will continue to be used (there’s nothing wrong with it) along with our foot operated morso (which for speed really can’t be beaten according to Ayrton our framing ‘guru’)

Coming Soon…..Square Frames and Odd Sized Frames
Monday, January 17th, 2011Watch this space…..pretty soon we’re going to be launching our range of square frames that we make ourselves.
We’ve been making square photo frames ever since we first opened over 20 years ago.
After being asked for them we’ve decided to launch them for sale online, for some reason a lot of picture framers don’t do square frames. We’re not sure why this is but we sell quite a few (mainly because no one else seems to do them) through our retail outlets.
As well as the square picture frames we’ll also be launching a few new sizes (10×7, 9×6 etc) that seem to be gaining in popularity as of late (possibly something to do with digital camera sizes).
Whats hot in 2011?
Friday, January 7th, 2011What frames are going to be best sellers in 2011???
We’re pretty confident white photo frames are going to be big in 2011, we noticed a large spike in orders for white frames in the last quarter of 2010 and are sure this will continue into this year.
Black photo frames will still feature pretty high on our list of best sellers, they always do! The simplicity of black frames (and white frames) are what people like, they’re usually our best selling colour out of all the frames we do.
Oak photo frames are popular at the moment, we think oak frames are popular due to the wooden floors so many people have these days. That and the fact that you can’t beat a nice solid oak photo frame as opposed to some of the alternatives out there.
Square frames and unusual sizes….Pretty soon we’re going to be launching a lot of new sizes that we get asked for a lot. These will include sizes such as 10″ x 7″, 9″ x 6″, 12″ x 12″, 8″ x 8″ plus quite a few other sizes.

Photo Frame Packs for Photographers
Wednesday, October 20th, 2010It’s that time of year again….we’re already starting to prepare for Christmas and are stocking up shelves, ordering in boxes of mouldings and pallets of mountboard ready for the huge demand we all face over the next few months. I’m sure this year will be no different and we’ll be working right up until xmas eve.
With this in mind, a lot of our photography customers (i.e. professional photographers) offer a gift pack of various sized photo’s to their customers over the next few months.
Our ready made frames are ideal for this, all our frames come in packs of 6 and are all available to buy online at excellent trade prices.
If you’re looking for a number of frames that isn’t a direct multiple of 6 then don’t worry, we will supply you too. We just have a minimum quantity of 6 frames for these prices. No problem to buy in multiples of 7′s, 8′s, 9′s (The more the better!)

The reason it’s so much cheaper to buy photo frames in bulk is due to the time it takes to make one frame as opposed to six. Of course the raw material costs don’t change (unless you’re buying very large quantities) but the time spent ‘per frame’ works out a fair bit lower.

Wedding Signature Frames

We were so pleased with how this came out that we took a photo of it and thought we’d share it with all of you. The idea is for people to sign the mount with messages then the happy couple can put some wedding photo’s behind the letters. We quite often do ‘names in frames’ for people but haven’t actually done this with the signature mount before!
The mount is cut using our state of the art computerised mount cutter, each letter is individually cut out and a photo is stuck behind each aperture. The frame we’ve used on this one is our popular champagne/silver frame which can be viewed close up here – of course you could choose any frame to have around this and you can have any size width of mount (depends on how many guests you have!)
We can make these signature mounts for any occasion such as a retirement, christening, birthday or any other occasion you would like. Just let us know what word you would like and we can cut it.

Browse by frame size
Friday, July 30th, 2010We’re pleased with our new website; it’s a big improvement on our old one. Using the new site you can browse for your frames by choosing the size in the menu on the left. Once you have chosen the size of photo frame you are looking for then you can browse all the photo frames of this size or you can narrow your search further by choosing your frame colour, browse by price, number of apertures etc.
We hope to have pages set up soon that will enable you to browse by frame colour first then choose your size from there (our developers are working on this and it should be released soon)
