Our Canvas Printing Service
We've been printing and stretching canvases for years now and have become a bit of a dab hand at it (if we do say so ourselves). A lot of our clients are professional photographers wih their own portrait studio's and we take care of all their printing/framing needs.
All photo's are printed using our large format, 12 ink Canon printer. This printer is one of the best around and has won numerous awards in various photographic magazines.
Most of our clients resize and crop the images themselves before uploading to us, if you are not familiar with cropping or resizing digital photo's then don't worry just upload your file and we'll have a look at it before we print it. Most images are sent to us at a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) - again if this is all baffling you then make a note in the comments box above and we'll take care of it.
We will not print a canvas if we think it is not of a good enough quality. We would rather lose out on a sale than to put our name to something of inferior quality.
All of our canvases are sealed with a heat activated sealant. This completely seals the canvas so it is water resistant and easily enables you to wipe any dirty fingerprints or marks from it without ever touching the ink. This heat-sealed laminate is where our canvases differ greatly from inferior canvases supplied over the internet.
We then stretch your photo (once it's printed and sealed) around wooden stretcher mouldings giving you a depth of 34mm from the wall. You can choose to either have your image stretched around the side (called 'image wrap') or to have the sides left white (or printed black or another colour).
Finally, we finish the back of your canvas off with an acid free backing board and put all the necessary hanging fixings and cord on it ready for it to hang on your wall.
